We took the Sioux Falls Trolley around town. It was a fun and free way to get around. We ended up at Falls Park. We went up to the top of the look out tower that gives you a nice view of the whole park. It was crowded with a bunch of obnoxious teens, so we left pretty quickly. It was fun hanging out by the falls. The kids enjoyed climbing on the rocks. There was a world festival going on that was kind of fun, but took away from the relaxing atmosphere with the crowds and loud music.

Know Before You Go: Sioux Falls was a nice little town and a good stopping point on the way to Rapid City. We were there during a regional soccer tournament, which explains why it was so hard to find a hotel room. I imagine at other times of the year it would not be so difficult. Check the city calendar for different festivals at Falls Park if you enjoy those, or to avoid them if you don't.
